Canon Rangefinder Primes (TLS)

Our two sets, of nine Canon Rangefinders per set, are stunning vintage lenses from the 1960’s. The 25, 35, 50, 85 & 100mm were all created by legendary lens designer Jirou Mukai, which creates a DNA and cohesion that really shines and connects these lenses. 

The Rangefinders have been beautifully rehoused by the experts at TLS from obsessively sourced glass that matches in color across the entire set. This glass is in the most pristine condition imaginable. 

The Canon Rangefinders have a stunning golden/amber single layer coating that produce deeply expressive warm flares that are unique to only these lenses. 

The set includes Canon’s legendary 50mm f/0.95 “Dream Lens” which was a technical marvel when released in 1961 and was completely unrivaled in speed for nearly fifty years. This iconic lens is famous for its warm images, incredible flares and razor-thin depth of field that creates a singular painterly bokeh. 

The TLS rehousing have 110mm fronts, matching gear positions, irises have been replaced with new matte-finished 16 blade circular irises, incredible close focus, & LPL mounts. Freestyle carries LPL mount adapters for every modern digital camera.

These lenses are soulful and expressive but still sharp and flattering when needed by just stopping down slightly. It’s truly like getting two looks in one lens.
